Making connections with families is an important part of the work that library staff do. Whether through a brief interaction or a relationship built over time, these connections are essential for families to see libraries as a place where they are welcome. In this series, participants will learn strategies to engage with families, and solve problems together when situations feel challenging. Specific topics for the 5 sessions include:

- Active listening
- The power of observation
- Valuing a family’s passion
